THE IDEA

An embrace, drawn in timber.

Abra begins with a line that curves, touches the floor and rises again. Two timber sides wrap a generous seat; a burgundy backrest introduces an intimate, almost unexpected gesture. Made for the corner that becomes everyone's favorite place at home.

Project status
A 2026 design concept. Proposed materials and dimensions; technical development and prototyping are pending.
Role
An exploration of form, materiality, proportion and conceptual representation.
Credits
Concept developed for Sada Hess. AI-generated visualizations and sketches; proportion study prepared for this proposal.

MATERIAL / PROPOSED PALETTE

See it.
Feel it.

86 × 88 × 74 cm

Width × depth × height · proposed dimensions

  • Light ash

    Curved laminated-timber sides.

  • Ivory wool

A softly textured seat with a continuous volume.

  • Burgundy mohair

A wraparound backrest with a deep accent.

01

A curve that supports.

The sides are proposed as continuous ribbons: arm, support and silhouette belong to the same gesture. The grain follows the curve.

02

A pause as the program.

The low seat and wraparound backrest suggest a relaxed posture. An exploration of proportion for reading, talking or simply staying.

03

Softness and presence.

Pale timber and ivory wool create a serene base. Burgundy appears on a single surface, adding depth without overwhelming the object.
